Shadow Network

Palantir partner Information Warfare Monitor has struck again, this time using Palantir to expose a China-based espionage operation known as the Shadow Network that hacked into the upper echelons of the Indian security and defense apparatus.  Cyber spies stole documents related to Indian security, embassies abroad, and even NATO troop activity in Afghanistan. This is the second major spy ring that the researchers from SecDev and Citizen Lab have uncovered; in March 2009 they exposed GhostNet, an online espionage network that targeted the office of the Dalai Lama as well as many other high profile organizations around the world.
