Engineer, Developer Support Team

McLean, VA

Developer Support Engineers at Palantir are virtuosos of our API. Through working with internal and external developers to extend our platform, we are deeply familiar with how real people use Palantir, and our developers rely on our accumulated expertise to help steer the development of our public API. We have a unique insight into how Palantir fits into our customers’ visions and the varied, creative ways that they integrate their entire workflow into Palantir. We advise, train, and code with customers, and we’re deeply involved in the creation of new applications and customization of Palantir to fit our customers’ needs. We are integral to the success of Palantir’s deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Become a Palantir Product Expert
  • Visit customer sites to increase the depth of real world product knowledge and use cases
  • Independently spot and resolve software/server issues  
  • Oversee and safeguard the integrity of robust enterprise software deployments
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end quality of the product
  • Collaborate with the Forward Deployed Engineering and Product teams in the development and design of creative solutions for the field
  • Coordinate and manage customer contact for critical product issues 
  • Create articles and code samples for Knowledge Base and DevZone
  • Ensure the success of our product by keeping Palantir running across the globe

 

Requirements

  • B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Killer problem solving skills, MacGyver-like instincts a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast moving environment with dynamic objectives
  • Ability to think creatively and define product and customer needs
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under minimal supervision
  • Excellent teamwork and written/verbal communication skills
