Please note this is a contract position.
Set up station according to kitchen guidelines
Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
Follow recipes and presentation specifications as set by Chef or Lead
Clean and maintain station
Properly use and maintain all equipment in station
Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef, Sous Chef, or Lead
Food Handlers permit
Ability to spend 100% of working hours standing
Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water
Ability to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly
Ability to speak, read, and understand basic cooking directions
Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
Previous prep or line cook experience
Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
Problem solving abilities, self-motivation, and organization
