Performance Engineer

Palantir is looking for a Performance Engineer to work on our core platform and infrastructure. You will work with the latest hardware and software, and interact closely with key technical experts to ensure the best possible performance results for the Palantir platform. 

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement performance test infrastructure 
  • Design, implement, and run performance test scenarios 
  • Debug and fix issues with performance test tools 
  • Work closely with development to isolate and communicate performance issues
  • Report product performance characteristics on a regular basis 
  • Define minimal h/w requirements for basic functionality and scale

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Performance and Load Testing experience
  • Strong experience with Linux; specifically, the ability to diagnose software issues on a server environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in modern development, such as Java

Preferable 

  • Shell scripting, such as Bash, Python or Perl
  • Oracle, Postgres and/or other (SQL) database knowledge
  • Systems administration experience
  • Build infrastructure knowledge, such as bamboo
