Developer Support Engineer
Developer Support Engineers at Palantir are virtuosos of our API. Through working with internal and external developers to extend our platform, we are intimately familiar with how real people use Palantir, and our developers rely on our accumulated expertise to steer the development of our public API. We have a unique insight into how Palantir fits into our customers’ visions and the varied, creative ways that they integrate their entire workflow into Palantir. We advise, train, and code with customers as they create new applications and mold Palantir to fit their needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding technical support to customers and partners via email and phone
- Become a Palantir expert and act as a lifeline for our field engineers
- Troubleshoot complex code and product issues
- Write articles and sample code for the Palantir Knowledge Base and Dev Zone
- Work with the Business Development, QA, and Engineering teams
- Identify a need within the Palantir platform, and develop your own project
Requirements
- BS/BA or equivalent experience
- Industry experience in technical support, engineering, or a related function
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE development
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Strong understanding of Windows and Linux/Unix preferred
- Familiarity with SQL databases, especially Oracle and Postgres, preferred
