The role

Our Information Security (Infosec) Team is responsible for the security of Palantir’s people, infrastructure, and customer deployments around the globe. Infosec Engineers are highly motivated team players with a dedication to security and technology. They thrive on solving problems and tackling new challenges.

As an Infosec Engineer, you’ll provide crucial engineering support and guidance for the security infrastructure our employees rely on every day. You’ll help improve our security by thinking creatively about the types of threats we will face while developing and implementing innovative prevention and detection methods.


  • Plan, build, and deploy sustainable tools and infrastructure to detect and help triage malicious activity
  • Consult with internal teams on the best way to securely deploy infrastructure and applications


  • Strong, security-focused proficiency with Python
  • Experience writing micro-services and/or RESTful APIs
  • Broad exposure to the world of information security with deep understanding in a couple of areas
  • Experience working in a structured development environment (e.g., unit tests, a standard git workflow, coding standards, etc.) or the willingness to learn


  • Familiarity with machine learning and potential applications to information security
  • Strong Java background
  • Experience with a CI framework like Travis or Jenkins
  • Experience with open source data processing frameworks like Kafka, Spark, Storm, etc.
