We’re a close-knit group of designers working to humanize some of the world’s most complex data problems.

We strongly believe that design can make the world a better place. Our work helps people expose financial fraud, eliminate slavery, improve manufacturing processes, coordinate disaster relief, discover new medicines, and more.

This is an incredible opportunity, but it’s not an easy or well-traveled path. The design problems we face are incredibly complex: we take billions of data points and create novel ways for people to structure, visualize, and make sense of it all. And while our work often affects front-page news, we are often invisible. Our impact is our reward—helping real people solve real problems and creating beauty and clarity in places where none existed.

Our mission as a team is to:

  • Humanize data. We’ve done it wrong if people have to map their thinking to the structure of a database. We’ve done it right if data is presented according to how people already think about the world.
  • Empower people. We want to augment human intelligence, not replace it. Our goal is to empower people to ask questions that were previously unanswerable, see connections that they couldn’t before, and understand their world in new ways.
  • Bring utility, usability, and beauty to enterprise tools. Our standard is not to be better than other enterprise software, but to be excellent. People who work in large organizations doing critical work shouldn't have to settle for less.

We’re building a future where data can be used to serve people and improve quality of life. This is where great design matters most, and there is so much left to do.
