Used colors

Colors used within a Workshop application can be defined and saved on the module level using Workshop’s used colors feature. This feature allows builders to set a color palette for an application and easily swap out colors used throughout their module.

Access the Used colors panel by navigating to a module’s Settings tab in edit mode. The panel consists of two main sections: Saved colors and Unsaved colors.

Note that usage of intent colors will not be displayed in the Used colors panel.

Saved colors

Saved colors are defined by the builder on the module-level. Builders may add colors to the Saved colors section to allow the colors to be selectable when configuring custom colors in layouts and widgets. Builders may rename the saved colors that were defined, set separate colors to be used in light and dark modes for modules, and see specific color usage in layouts and widgets within the module. Saved colors may be easily edited by the builder and propagated to all layouts and widgets that use saved colors, allowing builders to quickly and easily update colors within their module.

Unsaved colors

Unsaved colors represent custom colors used in layouts and widgets throughout the module not defined as saved colors by the builder. Builders may click to copy the hex code of unsaved colors to be easily used elsewhere, and may also see the usage of these colors in layouts and widgets within the module.
